After completing his doctorate at the University of Stuttgart in 2006, he found it more attractive to start building small, container-based systems than to go into large-scale plant construction, unlike many of his colleagues.
The thermal use of special gases based on FLOX combustion technology is his specialty. Residual gases from pyrolysis are the topic here and the biogenic residues provide the link to biogas reforming.
